What PSI do YOU set your air compressor regulator at normally?
Professional auto mechanics only, please…
I am designing a pneumatic machine for automotive use and am kind of taking a poll to get some feedback as to what guys set their compressor at for everyday use i.e. using impact guns, ratchets, die grinders, etc. Obviously NOT shooting paint. It helps me with my design to know if the majority of guys use 90, 100, 125, whatever it may be. I know 90 PSI is often considered the standard, but I’m just wondering how many guys exceed that for more power, for example. Common pressures at dealerships and large shops would be great. Thanks.
Pressures at dealerships and large shops are of necessity much higher than what the tools need because there are many mechanics working off the same compressor. As each mechanic starts to use the compressor the pressure drops overall.
